The ZKTeco Saturn-S1000 Pro is a slim, intelligent swing barrier designed to manage pedestrian movement without making a reception area feel heavy or institutional. Mechanical engineering, microprocessor control, safety sensing and credential-reader options work together to provide orderly entry, clear directional guidance and rapid alarm feedback.
The series combines the Saturn-S1000 Pro single-lane unit with the Saturn-S1200 Pro extension unit. This modular approach lets a project create one controlled lane or expand into a multi-lane entrance while maintaining a consistent architectural finish.
Configure under-mounted RFID or QR readers, or add a surface-mounted facial authentication terminal to suit the site’s access policy and user experience.
Adjustable swing movement averages one second, while LED indicators show lane availability and barrier status for confident pedestrian flow.
Six infrared sensor pairs are standard, with eight optional. Anti-pinch, anti-tailgating and automatic emergency release functions help protect users and support evacuation.
The Saturn-S1000 Pro forms a single controlled lane. The Saturn-S1200 Pro is the extension unit used to add another swing wing and build additional lanes. A standard 650mm lane uses a clear acrylic barrier. Optional 1000mm acrylic and 1200mm SUS304 configurations support wider routes, including projects where accessible passage is required.
Lane layout, barrier material and safety clearances should be confirmed during project design. Children and people with disabilities should use the lane with appropriate care and site-specific supervision.
The cabinet provides streamlined positions for credential technology without locking the project into one authentication method. Supported examples include ProID and KR Series RFID readers, the QR500 QR code reader, and surface-mounted ProFace X or SpeedFace V5L facial terminals.
The turnstile does not include an access controller as standard. It can be configured with compatible C3 or InBio Series controllers, allowing the final system to connect with ZKBio CVAccess or zkbio cvsecurity where supported by the selected controller. This separation lets an integrator match user capacity, software and reader technology to the project instead of overspecifying the lane hardware.
Published flow rates are up to 35 passengers per minute with RFID, 30 with QR codes and 15 with facial authentication. Actual throughput depends on credential presentation, reader selection, user behaviour and the surrounding entrance layout.
During a power failure or when the voltage-free fire-alarm input is activated, the swing barrier unlocks automatically and leaves the lane unobstructed. Anti-tailgating logic and infrared anti-pinch detection support controlled daily operation, while the automatic release state helps an evacuation route remain available.
The 150mm-wide chassis combines cold-rolled SPCC steel, polycarbonate side panels and a polycarbonate plus 2.5D tempered-glass lid. Five colour options—Pearl White, Space Gray, Carbon Black, Bay Blue and Mist Brown—help the entrance system complement different interior schemes.
An IPX4 rating supports indoor or sheltered outdoor use. The operating range of -30°C to 70°C and 5% to 90% non-condensing humidity provides flexibility for varied environments, but the unit is not intended for an exposed, unsheltered outdoor location.
The Saturn-S1000 Pro Series is delivered pre-assembled for easier installation and requires a flat, level finished floor. An optional base plate is available for unfinished floors. The correct result still depends on early decisions about lane count, accessible width, credential method, controller, fire integration, power, network and physical fixings.
