Pharmapac Ltd (Auckland) — New Zealand manufacturer of recyclable and recycled plastic packaging for pharma, nutraceutical, food, honey and personal care, trading since 1979. HQ: 125 Sunnybrae Road, Hillcrest, Auckland 0627.
ISS – Integrated Security Services — Pharmapac’s security provider for CCTV and access control. ISS scoped, installed and commissioned this upgrade. We supplied the hardware/software and provided technical support throughout.

Pharmapac had ZKTeco MA300 readers on 10 doors running on their existing access-control backbone. MA300s have been reliable for years (IP65 metal body, outdoor-ready), but the business wanted a modern, multi-credential reader that would:

ZKTeco ProMA Series installed across all 10 doors.
Migration from ZKAccess 3.5 to ZKBio CVSecurity , providing a more modern, web-based and modular security management platform.
Designed, installed and commissioned by ISS Integrated Security Services Ltd , with NZTeco supplying the hardware and providing backend support.

Hybrid credentials without clutter
The ProMA’s built-in HID iCLASS/Prox module means Pharmapac can keep existing cards while introducing biometrics where it makes sense (e.g., higher-risk areas or after-hours access).
Touchless options for hygiene and speed
Face and palm verification provide fast, contactless entry for busy shift changes.
Modern comms and security
OSDP 2.1.7 secured channel and TLS-secured TCP/IP bring the reader layer up to current best practice.
Outdoor-ready
The series is designed for tough sites, with metal construction and weather resistance comparable to the MA300s they replaced.
Pharmapac’s team moved from the legacy ZKAccess 3.5 desktop software to ZKBio CVSecurity, a browser-based platform that brings Access Control, Personnel management and reporting into one console. Admins now handle day-to-day changes and run audit reports without installing thick clients.
The existing MA300 readers were replaced with ZKTeco ProMA readers across 10 doors, with ISS reusing existing cable runs where suitable to minimise disruption.
Staff could continue using their existing HID cards, while frequent users gained face recognition for faster daily access.
For selected roles and higher-security areas, palm or fingerprint authentication was enabled for stronger identity verification.
Users, schedules and access rules were moved across to ZKBio CVSecurity, followed by a clean-up of groups, holidays and reporting structure.
ISS trained site supervisors, while NZTeco provided remote support and post-go-live tuning to help the system settle in smoothly.
Seamless user experience: cards continue to work; biometrics added where helpful.
Faster entries at peaks thanks to face/palm matching.
Cleaner admin: web login, role-based access to doors/users, easier reporting.
Future-ready: OSDP and TLS give Pharmapac a secure path for any new doors or zones.

ISS (Integrated Security Services) delivered a tidy implementation: careful staging, minimal downtime, and clear communication with Pharmapac’s team. They remain Pharmapac’s go-to for day-to-day service and expansion. We were glad to back them with supply, configuration guidance and support.
