A working system, with a new requirement
Oracle Autos had a ZKTeco SpeedFace V5L biometric terminal installed several years ago and used ZKBio Time 9.0 to manage staff time and attendance. The software had worked well for the business.
The recent upgrade followed a change in requirements. Oracle Autos wanted its attendance software in the cloud, with straightforward remote access and integration with MYOB Business. The aim was to choose a platform that better suited how the business now wanted to manage attendance and payroll.
Moving attendance management to ZKBio Time Cloud
Oracle Autos upgraded to ZKBio Time Cloud, a hosted attendance platform that authorised administrators can access through a web browser with an internet connection.
ZKBio Time 9.0 is itself web-based and can support remote access when deployed accordingly. The distinction for this project was the requirement for a hosted cloud platform, rather than a lack of useful features in the previous software.
Cloud-based administration allows authorised users to review attendance information remotely. It also removes the need to run a dedicated on-site attendance server for the cloud platform. For Oracle Autos, that approach matched the requirement for easier access away from the premises.
MYOB Business was part of the decision

Payroll integration was another important requirement. Oracle Autos uses MYOB Business and wanted its attendance platform to fit that payroll workflow.
NZTeco offers direct MYOB integration for supported ZKBio Time Cloud deployments. The MYOB product, employee records and attendance-to-payroll mapping need to suit the intended workflow. This makes payroll compatibility a practical part of software selection, alongside remote access and day-to-day attendance management.
Training and ongoing support
NZTeco provided software training and continues to support Oracle Autos. That support helps the business use its attendance software and address questions as they arise.
The confirmed change is the move from ZKBio Time 9.0 to a hosted ZKBio Time Cloud platform. It gives the business a different way to administer attendance, aligned with its remote-access requirement and choice of payroll system.
For another organisation considering a similar move, the useful starting point is its current workflow: who needs access to attendance information, where they work, which payroll product they use and whether the existing terminal is suitable for the proposed setup.
Discuss a similar attendance project
If you are reviewing your time and attendance system, tell NZTeco which terminal and software you use, your payroll product, approximate staff numbers and what needs to change. We can discuss a suitable approach and the training and support you need.
