The ZKTeco SenseFace T3 is a compact, wall-mounted time and attendance terminal for small and medium-sized businesses that want a practical way to record staff attendance without relying on a single credential type. It combines visible-light facial authentication, near-infrared palm authentication, optical fingerprint verification and optional RFID card verification in one desktop-sized device with a physical keypad.

Flexible clocking for real workplaces

Every site has different attendance habits. Some staff prefer a card, others need a contactless option, and a keypad can be useful where a password is part of the selected workflow. SenseFace T3 can be configured around these preferences with face, palm, fingerprint, card (optional) and password authentication. The official specification lists up to 1,000 templates each for face, palm, fingerprint and cards, with a 1,000-user capacity and 50,000 transaction capacity.

Its dual 1MP camera and applied deep-learning algorithm support facial and palm authentication with a listed ±25° rotation and ±25° tilt tolerance. ZKTeco states face and palm authentication take less than 0.5 seconds, while fingerprint authentication takes less than one second. The stated facial recognition distance is 40cm to 110cm and palm recognition distance is 8cm to 25cm. Actual performance depends on enrolment quality, lighting, placement and the site’s attendance procedure.

The 2.4-inch TFT colour display, 16-key physical keypad, record query function and schedule-bell capability make SenseFace T3 a focused workforce time-clock terminal. It supports up to 14-digit user IDs, multiple authentication methods, online firmware upgrades and T9 keyboard input. A Type-A USB port is listed for USB-drive use only, giving administrators a local option as part of their chosen attendance workflow.

It runs Linux on an ARM Cortex-A7 processor with 128MB RAM and 128MB ROM, and uses a DC 5V 2A Type-C USB power supply. These details make it suitable for a straightforward fixed attendance point where a nearby power outlet and appropriate network coverage are available.

SenseFace T3 measures 125 × 128 × 31mm and weighs 0.24kg net, so it is easy to position at a staff entrance, reception, office floor or other controlled clocking point. It is intended for wall mounting. The listed operating environment is -10°C to 45°C and up to 90% RH non-condensing. No ingress-protection rating is stated on the official product page, so it should be installed indoors or in a protected location rather than treated as an exposed outdoor device.
