The ZKTeco Saturn-T1000 Pro is a motorised tripod turnstile for controlled pedestrian entry and exit. Its brushless DC drive, 550 mm bi-directional lane and automatic emergency drop arm suit a defined access checkpoint.

The ZKTeco Saturn-T1000 Pro is a single-lane motorised tripod turnstile for managing authorised entry and exit. Its brushless DC drive starts passage with a gentle touch, while the rotating arms help maintain one-person-at-a-time lane discipline. It suits projects that need a defined pedestrian checkpoint at an office, factory, gym, museum or transport entrance.
The 550 mm lane can operate in either direction, or be configured for one-way passage and one-way lockout. Blue, green and red LED indicators communicate standby, access granted and alarm or error states. An internal buzzer adds an audible indication, helping users understand when to proceed.
RFID card, QR code and facial authentication are supported through the selected reader and access controller setup. Dynamic and static QR options can support different entry workflows when the chosen reader and connected system provide them. The official specifications also list ProID and KR Series RFID readers and FR1200/FR1500S fingerprint reader options.
C3 or InBio Series access controllers are listed options. Third-party controllers need their electrical interfaces and fit within the chassis checked before selection. Reader compatibility does not mean every reader, controller or licence is included: the project quotation should identify the equipment and configuration being supplied.
The motherboard provides an RS485 communication port and a fire alarm relay port. With a compatible connected control panel, the Saturn-T1000 Pro can be used with ZKBio CVAccess or ZKBio CVSecurity. This allows the entrance lane to form part of a managed access system; confirm the controller, reader interfaces, software version and licensing before deployment.
The manufacturer’s quoted throughput is 25 passengers per minute for RFID or QR verification and 15 for facial verification. These figures help with initial lane planning, but actual throughput depends on verification time, access rules and how people use the entrance.
The tripod arm drops automatically during a power failure or an emergency/fire signal to allow free passage. The emergency input accepts a voltage-free contact. The drop-arm function and its connected emergency signal should be commissioned and tested for the site.
Anti-tailgating control is specified for the mechanism. Two distance-measuring LiDAR sensors are an option, rather than standard equipment. Wired and wireless remote control options are also listed. Select these additions to match the operating workflow and security requirements.
The Pearl White chassis uses 1.0 mm electro-galvanised steel with a baked enamel finish. The top combines a polycarbonate body with a 2.5D tempered glass panel, and the tripod arms are SUS304 stainless steel. The datasheet gives chassis dimensions of 1200 × 228 × 1020 mm; allow additional clearance for the arms, neighbouring lanes and maintenance access.
Installation requires a flat, level finished floor, with an optional base plate available for unfinished floors. The 550 mm tripod lane should be considered alongside a separate accessible route or a suitable wider gate where the project needs one. See NZTeco’s tripod turnstile range or compare the Saturn-S1000 Pro swing barrier for a different lane format.
IPX4 is specified as a manufacturer self-laboratory test for splash protection. The official documents give differing advice about exposed outdoor installation and different temperature and humidity limits. Confirm the supplied unit’s operating limits, site exposure and any protective accessories before specifying an outdoor location; the specification table records the published differences.
The manufacturer lists AC 110V–220V, 50/60Hz and DC 12V power, with 40 W operating and 10 W standby ratings. Confirm the supplied power configuration for NZ mains and use the installation documentation when planning wiring and earthing.
