The Armatura Aegis-1000 Series is a single-lane, full-height rotating turnstile for high-security pedestrian entrances. It creates a durable physical boundary while allowing the credential technology to be chosen for the access-control design: the base Aegis-1000, Aegis-1011 with RFID access control, or Aegis-1022 with fingerprint, QR code and RFID access control.
With a 600mm lane and a full-height rotating barrier, Aegis-1000 is suited to sites that require controlled entry and a clear deterrent to unauthorised passage. Integrated vertical LED indicators display a green arrow for permitted passage and a red cross for denied passage. The gate is specified for up to 30 people per minute, subject to the selected credential method and overall system design.
The base Aegis-1000 provides the mechanical entrance-control platform. The Aegis-1011 adds RFID access control, while Aegis-1022 combines fingerprint, QR code and RFID access control. The manufacturer recommends EP10C, EP20 Series or VG10CKQ readers for RFID and mobile credentials, and lists EP30CF, OmniAC20 and FT10CMQ as biometric options. Reader, controller, credential and software choices should be confirmed as part of the project specification.
For an integrated Armatura access-control solution, consider pairing the gate with an AHSC-1000 primary controller, a compatible EP20 Series reader, or an OmniAC20 biometric terminal, and the appropriate system software.
The stainless-steel barrier, cabinet and lid are specified in SUS304, with SUS316 available as an option. Aegis-1000 supports a voltage-free fire-signal input and unlocks automatically in an emergency. Security functions listed by the manufacturer include anti-tailgating, anti-intrusion and an auto-close mechanism. A full-height turnstile must be planned with the site’s emergency egress, accessibility, traffic flow and regulatory requirements in mind.
The manufacturer specifies indoor and outdoor application use, IPX4 ingress protection, -28°C to 60°C operating temperature, and 20–95% RH non-condensing humidity. In practical installations, enclosure exposure, drainage, foundations, corrosion conditions and local compliance still need to be assessed. The gate is supplied pre-assembled for easier installation and requires a flat, level finished floor; an optional base plate is listed for unfinished floors.
