The ZKTeco QR500 is a combined QR code and 13.56 MHz Mifare reader for doors that need to accept phone-based credentials alongside cards. Wiegand, RS485 and USB outputs make it a clean fit for visitor management, ticketed entry, gym phone passes and contractor sign-in. Reads QR, PDF417 and Data Matrix from both printed badges and phone screens.
The QR500 is the reader buyers spec when the site has moved (or is moving) to phone-based credentials but still needs to support Mifare cards for staff. It earns its place at the door by reading QR codes off a phone screen reliably, including dimmed screens and protective glass.
