The ZKTeco FaceTima 8 combines facial authentication, fingerprint, RFID and QR code access in an Android 14 terminal. Its large touchscreen gives staff and visitors a clear point of interaction at a controlled entrance, while built-in video intercom supports communication with a compatible indoor monitor or SIP system. It suits offices, commercial buildings, education sites and industrial entrances where several access methods need to work within one managed system.
The terminal holds up to 100,000 users and face templates, 30,000 fingerprint templates, 100,000 card templates and two million transactions. This capacity allows larger enrolment databases and access records to be held at the terminal. Choose the authentication methods and access rules that suit the people using the entrance, rather than relying on a single credential type.
Facial authentication operates at a specified distance of 0.3–1.2 m, with a manufacturer authentication time below one second. The binocular camera provides a 120° field of view, and the anti-spoofing algorithm is designed to defend against printed-photo and video attacks. These capabilities support daily access control; placement, lighting and commissioning still matter to the finished installation.
The dual-frequency card module supports 125 kHz ID and 13.56 MHz IC / DesFire credentials. Static and dynamic QR code authentication are supported, with dynamic QR credentials provided through the ZKBio Zexus mobile app. Confirm the reader configuration, card technology and credential workflow in the quotation. Official gallery images show different reader configurations and should not be treated as a list of included hardware.
FaceTima 8 is compatible with ZKBio CVSecurity, with version 6.8.0 listed in the datasheet. Access levels, groups, holidays, anti-passback and duress mode support managed door access. Record queries and a tamper-switch alarm provide further operational information.
The Android LCDP and AC PUSH SDK provide routes for application integration. Any custom application needs to be assessed against the supported platform and project requirements. Confirm software versions, licences and mobile services when specifying the complete system. These are separate from the terminal’s published hardware capabilities.
Gigabit Ethernet and dual-band 2.4 GHz / 5 GHz Wi-Fi give installers a choice of network connection. Power can be supplied at 12 V DC, 3 A, or through IEEE 802.3at PoE+. Check the PoE equipment and available power budget during system design, including the separate requirements of connected locks and accessories.
A 4G module is optional. Confirm that it is included in the selected configuration and check carrier, SIM and service requirements before using cellular connectivity. Wiegand input/output and RS-485 support external reader integration; the RS-485 connection is specified for a ZKTeco reader.
The terminal supports SIP 2.0 video intercom as well as ZKTeco’s private protocol over TCP/IP. Its two microphones and speaker support conversation at the entrance. Confirm interoperability with the selected SIP equipment and the intended call workflow during commissioning.
IP66 ingress protection and IK07 impact resistance support outdoor and sheltered outdoor installations within the specified −30°C to +60°C operating range. Mounting location, sealing, cable entry and environmental exposure should be checked against the installation guide. Standard wall mounting is compatible with Asian gang-box and single gang-box formats; a compatible Rots-02 turnstile top-mount bracket is optional.
Palm authentication, the associated 20,000 palm-template capacity, HID Prox / HID iClass support and cloud-based AI capabilities are marked “coming soon” by ZKTeco. They are not presented as available features of this product. The second lock connection and external battery/DC/AC detection connections are reserved, so they should not be specified as usable outputs or monitoring functions.
