Description

Vehicle access with the right boom for your lane

The ZKTeco BGM1000 Series is an automatic parking barrier for commercial car parks, managed residential entrances, industrial sites and other controlled vehicle lanes. Its 24 V DC brushless motor drives the boom through an SCM421 gear transmission. An interactive LED cabinet provides visible status, while the programmable controller supports adjustment during installation.

Choose the model around the lane width and available overhead space. The BGM1030L/R has a 3 m straight boom and a published 1.5 s operating speed. BGM1045L/R uses a 4.5 m telescopic boom at 2.5 s, and BGM1060L/R uses a 6 m telescopic boom at 5 s. The BGM1045L/R-LED provides a 4.5 m straight boom with LED lighting at 2.5 s. BGM1145L/R-90 provides a 4.5 m folding boom at 2.5 s where the installation calls for a folding arrangement. L/R suffixes identify boom-hand configurations; confirm the required direction from a site drawing before ordering.

Control, visibility and integration

The cabinet combines an interactive LED design with a programmable controller. ZKTeco also describes adjustable opening and closing speed, automatic delay closing and app-assisted setup through ZKEasyGO for the BGM1000 range. Configuration and available functions should be confirmed against the supplied controller and current manual. A remote-control distance of up to 30 m is published by the manufacturer; actual range depends on the installation.

The barrier can form part of a vehicle access system with a separate licence plate recognition camera, UHF reader or other control equipment. The barrier itself does not identify vehicles. Specify the controller inputs, software, credentials and any integration work for the full system. See our vehicle barriers and compare the BG1000 barrier when selecting a gate for your site.

Plan the complete installation

The manufacturer’s operating range is -35 °C to 70 °C at less than 90% humidity, and its motor mean cycles between failures (MCBF) figure is 3 million cycles. MCBF is a motor reliability measure, not a maintenance-free lifetime or warranty. Confirm local exposure, drainage, foundations, electrical protection and maintenance access for the proposed location. The published chassis dimensions are 350 × 280 × 1000 mm and its weight is 45 kg.

Vehicle and pedestrian detection, anti-collision measures and any heater or backup battery must be specified and commissioned for the actual lane. ZKTeco’s regional material describes automatic obstacle detection and a heater as optional or configuration-dependent functions; do not treat a cabinet alone as a complete safety system. Check pedestrian routes, boom travel and fail-safe behaviour with the installer. The published mains options are AC 220 V, 50 Hz and AC 110 V, 60 Hz; confirm the supplied version and its suitability for the New Zealand electrical installation before ordering.

For a quotation, send NZTeco the clear lane width, overhead clearance, desired boom direction, traffic volume, site photos or plan, power arrangement and intended access method. We can then confirm the BGM1000 variant, boom type, safety equipment and integration scope. Contact NZTeco to discuss your vehicle entrance.
