Description

The Armatura Aegis-2000 Series is a dual-lane, full-height rotating turnstile for high-security pedestrian entrances that need greater throughput than a single-lane gate. It provides two 600mm passage lanes within one entrance-control assembly and can be specified as the base Aegis-2000, Aegis-2011 with RFID access control, or Aegis-2022 with fingerprint, QR code and RFID access control.

Two controlled lanes for busy access points

Aegis-2000 creates a robust physical boundary at entrances where people need to pass in both directions or where two controlled paths are required. Integrated LED indicators give users clear feedback: a green arrow indicates passage is allowed and a red cross indicates it is denied. The gate is specified for up to 30 people per minute, with actual flow dependent on the credential technology, user behaviour and system configuration.

Match credentials to the project

The base Aegis-2000 is the mechanical dual-lane platform. Aegis-2011 adds RFID access control, while Aegis-2022 adds fingerprint, QR-code and RFID capability. Armatura recommends EP10C, EP20 Series or VG10CKQ hardware for RFID and mobile credentials; listed biometric options include EP30CF, OmniAC20 and FT10CMQ. These devices, the controller and the enrolment method should be selected around the site’s access-control design.

Build a coherent Armatura system by pairing Aegis-2000 with an AHSC-1000 primary controller, compatible EP20 Series RFID readers, or an OmniAC20 biometric terminal.

Emergency operation and installation context

The full-height barrier, cabinet and lid are specified in SUS304 stainless steel, with SUS316 available as an option. A voltage-free fire-signal input is listed, and the barriers unlock automatically during emergencies. Security features include anti-tailgating, anti-intrusion and auto-close functionality. Because this equipment controls pedestrian movement, the final design must account for emergency egress, accessibility, local compliance and safe circulation on both sides of the lanes.

The manufacturer lists indoor and outdoor application use, IPX4 ingress protection, -28°C to 60°C operation and 20–95% RH non-condensing humidity. In New Zealand installations, the practical suitability of an exposed location still depends on drainage, corrosion exposure, foundations, weather protection and site-specific compliance. Aegis-2000 is supplied pre-assembled for easier installation and needs a flat, level finished floor; an optional base plate is listed for unfinished floors.

Specify the right dual-lane solution

Aegis-2000 is a high-security entrance-control component and needs compatible hardware, credentials and installation planning to form a complete solution. Contact NZTeco for configuration advice, product compatibility, installation requirements and a project quote.
