Description

The TDM95 solves a specific problem: a NZ site is already running ZKTeco T&A terminals, the health and safety team wants temperature screening at entry, and replacing the terminals with the SpeedFace V5L[TI] would cost ten times more than retrofitting. The TDM95 bolts on to the existing terminal and adds non-contact temperature reading on every clock-in.

How it differs from a built-in thermal terminal

SpeedFace V5L[TI]: Thermal imaging built into the terminal itself. Reads alongside facial recognition. More expensive but tighter integration.
TDM95: Add-on module that connects to an existing terminal via RS232/485/USB. Requires user to present at the module separately. Cheaper, retrofits to existing hardware.
Practical call: Specify the V5L[TI] for new builds where temperature screening is part of the brief from day one. Specify the TDM95 for retrofits onto existing ZKTeco fleets where the cost of terminal replacement isn’t justified.
