ZKTeco MR1010/MR1020: Advanced RFID Access Control Readers

Description

The MR1010/MR1020 sits below the metal-cased MR100/MR101 in the ZKTeco reader line-up ? same Wiegand output, same controller compatibility, lower cost, and ABS plastic instead of metal. Specify it whenever the door doesn’t need vandal-resistant housing and the project is sensitive to per-reader cost.

How it differs from the MR100/MR101

• Housing: ABS plastic vs metal ? the MR1010/MR1020 saves cost but is less suited to genuinely vandal-exposed sites.
• IP rating: IP65 vs IP66 ? both handle rain, but the MR100 series has a slightly higher tolerance for jet-wash and persistent driving rain.
• Tamper: Both have tamper detection; the MR100 metal cabinet adds physical resistance the plastic body doesn’t match.
• Output and behaviour: Identical ? both feed Wiegand 26/34 to your controller, both read 125 kHz EM with optional Mifare, both work with zkbio cvaccess and third-party panels.

Mix the two in a single project: MR100s on exposed outdoor entries and high-risk doors, MR1010/MR1020 on sheltered exteriors and indoor doors where the plastic body is fine.
