The ZKTeco CVEdge 160 is an AI-powered access control panel with built-in video analytics, designed for commercial sites that need smarter door control, stronger event review and scalable multi-door access management.
The ZKTeco CVEdge 160 is an AI-powered access control panel designed for sites that need door control, user authentication and video analytics to work together. Instead of treating access events and camera footage as separate systems, the CVEdge 160 helps connect entry activity with visual verification, alarm events and recorded evidence.
This makes it a strong option for commercial and higher-security environments such as campuses, banks, hospitals, retail warehouses and other multi-door facilities where access decisions need to be managed with better context.
The CVEdge 160 provides one onboard access point and can scale for larger installations. Using ZKTeco DE10 door expansion units, it can manage up to 16 doors. It can also operate in primary-secondary mode, connecting up to 15 secondary CVEdge 160 panels for larger site layouts.
The CVEdge 160 supports multiple authentication methods, allowing integrators to design access control around the site’s security level, user type and entry process.
One of the key advantages of the ZKTeco CVEdge 160 is its ability to combine access control with intelligent video analytics. Each panel supports up to four local IP camera channels, allowing entrance areas to be monitored and reviewed alongside access activity.
Connect up to four local IP cameras to support entry monitoring, event capture and visual review.
Video intrusion detection can help validate single-person entry during access authentication.
Alarm events can trigger local recording, helping operators review access-related incidents faster.
Standard video analytics include absence detection, cross-line counting, object detection, area detection and tripwire detection. In primary-secondary mode, the system can scale up to 64 camera channels across 15 secondary CVEdge 160 panels.
The CVEdge 160 includes an onboard web console, so administrators can manage the device from a PC, mobile phone or tablet browser. This supports device administration, personnel management, access control setup, video analytics configuration and online firmware updates without needing a separate external server.
The CVEdge 160 supports RS485 readers using ZKTeco RS485 protocol and OSDP. It is designed for projects using compatible card, fingerprint and QR code readers. Wiegand support via the WR485 RS485-to-Wiegand adapter is coming soon and should be confirmed before specifying Wiegand readers for a live project.
The CVEdge 160 is built for practical commercial access control projects where storage, connectivity, event history and installation flexibility matter.
The CVEdge 160 is an access control panel, not a standalone facial recognition terminal. It supports fingerprint, RFID, static QR code and password authentication, plus access-linked video analytics for smarter entry monitoring and event review.
For larger or more complex sites, NZTeco can help confirm the correct reader mix, DE10 door expansion layout, EX0808 I/O expansion requirements, camera placement and primary-secondary panel design.
