Description
The ZKTeco BGM2000 Series automatic boom barrier controls vehicle entry and exit at commercial car parks, workplaces and managed sites. Its round straight boom provides a visible stopping point, while the cabinet’s LED indicators show the barrier’s operating status. It suits projects where frequent vehicle movements need a dedicated parking barrier with configurable operation.
Fast boom movement for busy entrances
The 24 V DC brushless motor includes an encoder for position control. The BGM2000L/R V4.0 datasheet specifies an adjustable operating speed of 0.6–3 seconds and a boom length of up to 4 m. Choose the boom length and speed together to suit the lane; the fastest setting should be confirmed for the selected configuration during commissioning.
A 100% duty cycle and a motor mean cycles between failures (MCBF) figure of five million cycles support specification for frequent use. MCBF is a manufacturer reliability measure, rather than a maintenance interval or service-life guarantee.
App-assisted setup and configurable operation
The programmable controller supports adjustable raising and lowering angles, automatic delayed closing and reversible boom direction. The V4.0 BGM2000 brochure identifies ZKEasyGo app control and Bluetooth BLE 5.2 communication. Earlier BG2000 documentation uses the ZKBarrier app name and describes a different communications arrangement. Specify the required app, controller and any remote-management modules when ordering.
Vehicle detection and boom protection
The series supports obstacle detection and emergency opening. Its anti-collision boom connector allows the arm to deflect sideways by up to 90° on impact, and the foam-covered arm has red and white reflective stripes. These features help reduce damage; they do not replace correctly selected and commissioned detection equipment.
Optional accessories include VR10 Pro radar, PSA26 photocells, a loop detector and loop coil, parking traffic lights, a boom support bracket and a wired control button. Confirm the accessories included in the quotation, detector positions, closing logic and required emergency behaviour for the actual lane.
Left- and right-hand configurations
BGM2000L and BGM2000R identify the two cabinet and boom arrangements. In the manufacturer’s illustrated front view, L places the cabinet on the left with the boom extending right; R places the cabinet on the right with the boom extending left. Supply a lane plan showing the vehicle approach, cabinet position, clear opening and overhead clearance so the correct hand can be confirmed.
Installation and system planning
The powder-coated steel cabinet has IP54 protection. Plan a suitable foundation, drainage, cable entry, electrical supply and maintenance access for the site. Confirm the delivered cabinet dimensions before preparing mounting holes or civil works.
For an entrance using cards, long-range tags or automatic number plate recognition (ANPR), specify the identification equipment and control system alongside the barrier. Cameras, readers, controllers and software are separate parts of the project. Explore NZTeco’s vehicle access and inspection systems or compare the vehicle barrier range.
Check the hardware revision before ordering
The specifications below refer to ZKTeco’s BGM2000L/R V4.0 brochure, dated 12 October 2024. The older BG2000 brochure and current regional product listings contain different speed, boom-length and cabinet details. Confirm the exact supplied revision, electrical input and installation drawing in the quotation rather than combining specifications from different versions.
Request a BGM2000 quote from NZTeco with your site location, clear lane width, daily traffic, access method and any existing equipment. Include a photo or drawing of the entrance and the emergency-opening requirements.
