ZKTeco Horus Series: Advanced Facial Recognition

The ZKTeco Horus Series is a wireless facial recognition time and attendance terminal in a smartphone-sized form factor. Three variants (Horus E1, E1-RFID, E1-FP) cover face only, face plus RFID card, and face plus fingerprint plus RFID card. 5-inch IPS touch LCD, Android 8.1, 4G/Wi-Fi/Bluetooth connectivity, anti-spoofing against print, video and 3D mask attacks.

Description

The Horus Series is a second-generation visible light facial recognition terminal, sized similar to an iPhone XS Max and built for both wall-mounted and portable deployments. Recognition distance up to 3 metres with a 30 degree pose angle tolerance.

Three variants

Horus E1: Face only. Compact 158 x 74 x 15.6 mm housing.
Horus E1-RFID: Face plus RFID card (ID and MF cards, 10,000 capacity). Larger 205.33 x 74 x 17.7 mm housing.
Horus E1-FP: Face plus fingerprint plus RFID card. Same larger housing as E1-RFID. Optional DM10 access control module supports up to 10,000 access events.

Anti-spoofing: Resists print attacks (laser, colour and B/W photos), video attacks and 3D mask attacks.
Camera: 2 MP dual camera with WDR, 720 x 1280 IPS touch LCD.
Hardware: Quad-core 1.5 GHz CPU, Android 8.1, 2 GB RAM and 16 GB ROM.
Audio: 90 dB speaker (at 10 cm), microphone with 1 m clear voice pickup.
GPS: Built-in GPS / A-GPS for location-aware deployments.

Where it fits

Construction site inductions: Foreman-led face enrolment at the gate, syncing over 4G to ZKBioSecurity or BioTime8.0.
Forestry and agricultural gangs: Field T&A for crews on remote blocks where there is no fixed network.
Event check-in and stadium staff entry: Validate face-enrolled attendees and staff at gates.
Warehouse and depot offices: Combined T&A and access control with optional fingerprint and card backup.
Office reception: Wall-mounted face recognition with 4G or Wi-Fi connectivity.
