We were honoured to attend the ZKTeco Global Meeting 2025 in Bangkok, where the theme “Futureland – Where Innovations and Fun Collide” brought together global partners, thought-leaders and cutting-edge product launches. Representing NZTeco from New Zealand, we had the privilege of receiving the Distinguished Brand Advocate Award, recognising our work as a dedicated partner.
We’d also like to extend a heartfelt thanks to the ZKTeco organisers for an outstanding event. It was great to meet up with friends from around the world — especially that brilliant and fun-loving bunch from Spain.

Proud moment: NZTeco received the Distinguished Brand Advocate honour at the gala night.

Event in a nutshell
Across two days (November 1–2), the agenda covered everything from keynote speeches and new product previews to awards, contract signings and a gala night of entertainment. The schedule featured:
Exposition of new solutions and demonstrations of advanced technology including BCI (brain-computer interface) research.
Strategic sessions covering access-control evolution, smart entrance control, smart outdoor solutions, and next-generation biometrics.
The Honouring Awards Ceremony recognising top global partners.
The 2026 Sales Partnership Contract Signing event.
Product auction, new IP mascot (ZITA) launch, live entertainment (robotic LED dance, DJ set), and a lucky-draw “Carnival Party” for partners.
All this set in a lively and energetic environment, signalling that ZKTeco is pushing hard into integrated systems, perimeter security and smart infrastructure.
Key Innovations & Strategic Announcements for NZ

KR900 Series – multi-frequency RFID readers
The KR900 Series was one of the key highlights. These are robust, multi-frequency RFID readers (125 kHz and 13.56 MHz) with Wiegand or RS-485 output — no wireless, no unnecessary extras. Just solid, reliable performance for access control doors, turnstiles and barrier setups.
Turnstiles and Barriers Take Centre Stage
The focus has clearly shifted beyond just doors. ZKTeco is raising the standard for entrance control — speed gates, flap barriers, tripod turnstiles and vehicle barriers built for high traffic, durability and safety. For New Zealand sites like factories, logistics hubs, schools, gyms and stadiums, this is exactly the direction the market is heading.

Armatura – IP-Based Control for Scalable Projects
Armatura continues to stand out as ZKTeco's most flexible controller platform — IP-based, PoE-ready and designed for biometric, RFID, QR and mobile credentials. Ideal for multi-door, multi-building or multi-site installations across NZ.

Outdoor Expansion – Longzhiyuan Acquisition
ZKTeco’s acquisition of 55% of Longzhiyuan Technology signals a big move into smart outdoor hardware — surveillance, range-finding, imaging and perimeter technology. This means NZ projects can expect unified outdoor + indoor ecosystems in the near future, rather than mixing third-party brands.
What This Means for NZ Installations
Plan the entrance layer first: turnstiles or barriers, then access readers, then integration into software.
Choose multi-tech readers early: readers like the KR900 will support legacy credentials now and newer modes later.
Map outdoor zones sooner: with perimeter/vehicle access increasingly integrated, front-gate, yard, and campus site design should include them.
Prioritise platforms that offer scalability: Armatura and the new ecosystem mean you’re not locked into a single door setup.
Leverage the vendor’s strength: ZKTeco’s global R&D, acquisitions and partner network mean NZ clients can benefit from world-class solutions locally.
Thank You to the ZKTeco Team
NZTeco was honoured with the Distinguished Brand Advocate award in recognition of our dedicated partnership and performance.
No — the KR900 supports multi-frequency RFID (125 kHz & 13.56 MHz) and uses Wiegand or RS-485 connectivity; it does not include wireless modes.
Because high-traffic sites require more than just door readers — speed, reliability and security all matter. The newer barrier/turnstile hardware directly addresses those needs.
ZKTeco’s acquisition of a majority stake in Longzhiyuan Technology means they are expanding into outdoor and perimeter solutions, which matters for any large-scale or campus-style NZ deployment.
