The ZKTeco F18 is a compact biometric access control terminal with an integrated fingerprint reader, 2.4-inch colour display, and full door control functionality. It operates standalone or connects to ZKBio CVAccess software via TCP/IP, making it suitable for single-door applications in offices, server rooms, and commercial premises.
The ZKTeco F18 is a fingerprint access control terminal designed for single-door applications requiring biometric authentication. Unlike a slave reader, the F18 is a complete access controller with onboard processing, user storage, and relay outputs for direct lock control. It can operate fully standalone or integrate with ZKBio CVAccess software for centralised management across multiple sites.
Built on ZKTeco’s ZMM210 hardware platform with a 1.2 GHz processor and ZK Finger V10.0 algorithm, the F18 delivers fast, accurate fingerprint verification. The 2.4-inch TFT colour screen provides clear visual feedback and supports on-device user enrolment and configuration via an intuitive menu system.
Standalone Access Controller
The F18 functions as a complete single-door controller with onboard decision-making. It stores up to 3,000 fingerprint templates and 100,000 transaction records locally, enabling continued operation during network outages. User privileges, time zones, and access rules can be configured directly on the device or via the built-in webserver.
High-Performance Biometric Engine
The ZK Optical Sensor combined with the ZK Finger V10.0 algorithm provides reliable fingerprint matching with a capacity of 3,000 templates. Verification is fast and consistent, even in high-traffic environments.
Optional RFID Support
The F18 supports optional card modules for multi-factor authentication or card-only users. Compatible card types include ID (125 kHz), IC (13.56 MHz), HID Prox, and HID iCLASS, with capacity for up to 5,000 cards.
Full Access Control I/O
Built-in terminals support direct connection to:
Wiegand Input & Output
Wiegand input allows connection of external card readers or fingerprint readers (such as the ZKTeco FR1200). Wiegand output enables integration with third-party access control panels when the F18 is used as a reader-controller in larger systems.
Network & Software Integration
TCP/IP connectivity enables centralised management through ZKBio CVAccess (access control) or ZKBioTime 8.0 (time and attendance). The built-in webserver allows browser-based configuration without dedicated software. Optional Wi-Fi connectivity is available.
Anti-Passback
Supports anti-passback functionality to prevent credential sharing and enforce correct entry/exit sequencing when paired with an exit reader.
RS485 Slave Reader Support
Connect an external RS485 fingerprint reader (e.g., FR1200) for two-way door configurations, extending biometric verification to the exit side of a controlled door.
The F18 with AC Push firmware connects to ZKBio CVAccess for centralised access control management, real-time monitoring, and event reporting across multiple devices.
Optional TA Push firmware enables time and attendance functionality, allowing the F18 to serve dual purposes for workforce management.
Standalone SDK integration for legacy deployments or custom software development.
Webserver
Built-in webserver allows browser-based device configuration, user management, and log retrieval without additional software installation.
Small to Medium Offices
Deploy as a standalone door controller for server rooms, storerooms, or office entry points. Local storage ensures operation without permanent network connectivity.
Multi-Site Commercial Premises
Connect multiple F18 units to ZKBio CVAccess for unified credential management, access reporting, and remote configuration across sites.
Two-Way Door Control
Pair with an FR1200 RS485 slave reader for biometric verification on both entry and exit, supporting anti-passback enforcement.
Retrofit Installations
Wiegand output allows the F18 to integrate with existing third-party access control panels, adding biometric verification to legacy systems.
The F18 features a slim profile (80 × 183 × 42 mm) suitable for mounting beside standard door frames. Surface mounting is typical, with cable entry from the rear.
